Coordinator: Rhonda Farmer
The sewing room maintains an extensive library with a collection of books on sewing and/or general quilting techniques available for check out.

Donating
Every effort is made to keep the collection of books as up-to-date as possible with books of interest. Often people like to bring books to the sewing room that they no longer need. Donations of books are accepted on the following conditions:
- The book was published within the last ten years
- The book is unique and not like any other in the library
- The book is in good condition
A small amount is allocated each year for the purchase of new books. If you would like a particular book added to the library, leave a note in the suggestion box with the title and author’s name. The book will be considered for purchase by the Sewing Room Advisory Board.
A book on a specific topic may be found by looking in the book list which is in the plastic page protectors hanging on the wall beside the book shelves.
- Books are organized by topic and labeled with a numbering system
- The first number 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. is the category
- The second number (following the hyphen) is the book number
- Example: Quilt patterns are in the category numbered 40, and Christmas quilts are in the 40-170 number range, so Marti Mitchell’s “A Quilters Christmas” is 40-174
